Mattel Rolls Out Enchantimals

Mattel has launched Enchantimals, a new brand franchise focused on a fantastical world that celebrates the bond between children and animals.

Enchantimals joins Mattel’s girls’ portfolio of brands with the launch of a line of 14 dolls and three playsets. The Enchantimals products will roll out to retailers across the U.S. this fall. The characters and storylines come to life in a range of short-form YouTube content and an hour-long televised special set for the fall. The Enchantimals are a group of girls who are half animal and share a special bond with their animal best friends.

The core characters are Felicity Fox and Flick, Danessa Deer and Sprint, Sage Skunk and Caper, Bree Bunny and Twist, and Patter Peacock and Flap. Enchantimals promotes friendship, empathy and compassion toward all living things.

“At Mattel, we are passionate about introducing properties that are both on-trend and purposeful,” said Lori Pantel, the senior VP and general manager for Girls’ Toy Box at Mattel. “We’re essentially bringing a popular animal aesthetic inspired by social media filters and marrying it with product and stories encouraging empathy and friendship.”
