Nickelodeon Unveils New West Coast Facility

BURBANK: Nickelodeon has officially opened its new state-of-the-art facility in Burbank, California, that houses 700-plus employees and more than 20 show productions.

The approximately 200,000-square-foot complex will be the home base of such popular series as The Loud House, SpongeBob SquarePants, Shimmer and Shine and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The facility includes a new five-story building, a redesigned courtyard, and the newly renovated, original 72,000-square-foot studio launched in 1998.

Nickelodeon’s expanded campus is meant to reflect the brand’s style and sensibility, while also inspiring and supporting creativity and community. Each floor includes a “working gallery” that provides open space for collaboration and to display works in progress. There are also full-height chalkboard, dry-erase and magnetic walls on which employees can brainstorm, as well as an on-site rotating art gallery, an archive and library, a screening room, café, three voiceover studios, a fitness room and an arcade, among many other features.
