9 Story Scores New Sales for Open Season: Call of Nature

9 Story Distribution International has inked new sales deals for the animated comedy Open Season: Call of Nature in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America.

The series, based on characters from the Open Season film franchise, has been picked up by DRTV in Denmark, RTS in Switzerland, AMC Networks in CEE, Canal Panda in Portugal, RTÉ in Ireland, Paramount Media Networks in the U.K. and Italy, ETV in South Africa, PCCW in Hong Kong and Macau, and Tubi, Roku and Xumo in the U.S.

The series premiered earlier this year on ABC in Australia, WildBrain in Canada, Discovery Kids in Latin America, Disney Channel in Germany and France Télévisions in France.

Open Season: Call of Nature is produced by 9 Story Media Group and Brown Bag Films with Sony Pictures Animation. Aimed at kids ages 6 to 11, it follows the lovable, risk-averse grizzly bear Boog and the fast-talking Elliot, who acts first and thinks later. When the duo discovers an abandoned summer camp in the middle of nowhere, they embark on an adventure to create a new place where animals can embrace their inner wild.

9 Story Distribution International holds the worldwide distribution rights for the series, and 9 Story Brands is handling worldwide merchandising rights. 9 Story has likened home entertainment rights in the U.S. and master toy rights worldwide to Sony Pictures Animation.
