9 Story Media Group Sells Kids’ Shows into AsiaPac

TORONTO: 9 Story Media Group has secured sales for more than 500 episodes of its kids’ and family content into Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and New Zealand.

Da Vinci Media has picked up pay-TV and SVOD rights to the live-action series Artzooka and Look Kool for several territories across the region, including Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Both shows will air on its educational channel, Da Vinci Learning. Meanwhile in Hong Kong, TVB acquired the preschool series Peg + Cat and the second season of Wild Kratts. Good TV in Taiwan licensed the first two seasons of the preschool show Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood.

New Zealand’s TVNZ has signed on for a slew of animated series. The broadcaster picked up seasons one and two of the preschool series Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs for its 24-hour children’s channel Kidzone. TVNZ also went for the first seasons of the animated comedies Camp Lakebottom and Numb Chucks for its free-to-air service TV2.
