9 Story & Funwood Team for Live-Action Musical Show

DUBLIN: 9 Story Media Group’s 9 Story Distribution International is partnering with Funwood Media on Monica Chef, a new live-action musical series for tweens.

Starring newcomer Isabel Madolell, Monica Chef follows a 16-year-old girl who is pursuing her dream of becoming a top chef after winning a scholarship to a prestigious culinary academy. The 40×22-minute show is created by Rafa Garcia and David Garcia, and is directed by Manual Sanabria and César Arriero. It is currently in production for broadcast in Italy in the spring.

Monica Chef is being produced by Funwood Media, Isla Audiovisual and 3zero2. 9 Story picked up the global distribution rights, excluding Italy and Spain. Funwood has licensed the series to Disney Channel in Italy.
