9 Story Distribution Sends Dr. Panda Around the World

9 Story Distribution International has secured multiple new sales for the first season of the 3D-animated preschool series Dr. Panda, including a deal with Russia’s Carousel children’s channel.

True Visions (Thailand), Somos TV (multi-territory, Spanish), MOLA TV (Indonesia) and WOW Unlimited (Canada) have also picked up Dr. Panda. The series previously sold to Cartoonito (Italy), RTL Kids (Netherlands, Luxembourg), YLE (Finland), TVNZ (New Zealand), HITN (LatAm and Spanish-speaking U.S.), Roku (U.S.) and Azoomee (U.S., U.K., Ireland, Sweden, Malta and South Africa).

Aimed at children aged 3 to 6, Dr. Panda takes place in the world of Panda City, where every day the titular animal tries out a new job working together with his friends. It is created and produced by Lin Yan with Giggle Garage and Spider Eye. The series is written by Daan Velsink and Chris Parker and directed by Patrick Chin and Wip Vernooij.

9 Story acquired worldwide distribution rights to Dr. Panda (excluding China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and select rights within MENA) in September 2018. A second season of the series is now in production, with delivery anticipated in fall 2021.
