CANNES: German broadcaster ZDF has commissioned a local version of the Tuesday’s Child format For What It’s Worth from Tower Productions, a joint venture between BBC Worldwide and All3Media.

For What It’s Worth sees contestants answer general-knowledge questions for the chance to pick antique lots on display. At the end of the game, the team that has curated the most valuable collection wins. The German adaptation of the show will go into production later this year. The initial 20-episode run is slated for broadcast on ZDFneo in early 2017.

For What It’s Worth originally aired on BBC One in the U.K. The BBC One series and the format are distributed by BBC Worldwide.

Karen Smith, the CEO of Tuesday’s Child, commented: “It’s a fresh, play-along quiz format built around the most compelling part of any antique show, ‘how much is it worth?’ I’m thrilled that ZDF are making it—they obviously have a great eye and can spot a TV treasure!”
