Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy! Licensed in Germany

Paramount Global Content Distribution has licensed a pair of its hit game-show formats to be revived in Germany.

Wheel of Fortune, which will air under the local title Gluecksrad, is headed to RTL2 (RTL ZWEI) in Germany. Wheel of Fortune was last on air from 2016 to 2018 on RTL+. Prior to that, it had been on air since the 1990s on different broadcasters in Germany.

The local version is hosted by Thomas Herrmann and Sonya Kraus. Noisy Pictures (a Banijay Group company) is producing.

Jeopardy! is getting a local treatment on SAT.1 in Germany with an episode as part of the first season of Die Sat. 1 Kult-Show-Wochen (The SAT.1 Epic Shows Weeks). Jeopardy! was last on air from 2016 to 2017, also on RTL+. Prior to that, it had been on air since the 1990s on different broadcasters in Germany.

Ruth Moschner is hosting the local Jeopardy!, which is produced by Noisy Pictures.
