The Wall Secures Local Treatments in Russia, CEE

Endemol Shine Group and Universal Television Alternative Studio have inked new deals for the popular quiz-show format The Wall, which is slated for adaptation in Russia, Poland, Romania and Hungary.

Endemol Shine Poland has been commissioned by TVP1 in Poland to produce 14 episodes of The Wall. Weit Media will produce eight prime-time episodes of the format for Russia’s Rossya 1. Antena in Romania and RTL in Hungary ordered 45 and 50 episodes, respectively. Filming for both the Russian and Romanian versions will take place in Poland.

The Wall first debuted on NBC in the U.S. The format was created by LeBron James, Maverick Carter and Andrew Glassman. It is produced by Glassman Media, SpringHill Entertainment and Universal Television Alternative Studio.
