The Bubble Being Adapted in Italy

TEL AVIV: Armoza Formats’ studio game show The Bubble is getting a local treatment in Italy thanks to producer Pesci Combattenti.

The agreement with Armoza marks the first time that the Italian outfit has acquired an international format. The format is also airing on Croatia’s pubcaster HRT, and has been adapted in countries such as Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands and the U.K.

The Bubble is an entertainment format that isolates contestants for a week, then brings them back into the studio and presents them with various current-affairs stories. They must separate which really happened and which are fake.

Riccardo Mastropietro, CEO of Pesci Combattenti, said, “Having developed our own original formats in the last years, and as a well-known creative production company in Italy, we are thrilled to be taking this new step forward in bringing this successful format to Italy. We believe that The Bubble will be a perfect fit for the Italian audiences that we know so well, and look forward to adapting it in partnership with Armoza Formats.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, added, “The Bubble is a timeless format that will always appeal to and be relevant for viewers. Its inherent idea of isolating contestants from the news before quizzing them on what really happened ensures that there is always endless content for local adaptation, making it the perfect format for multiple seasons.”
