The game show The 1% Club, created by Magnum Media and licensed by BBC Studios, is returning for additional seasons in Israel, France and Germany.

Israeli public broadcaster Kan 11 ordered a second season of the format The 1% Club, after its resounding success with local audiences. The 16 one-hour episodes of the Israeli series will go into production in May and are scheduled to air in the fall.

France Télévisions is also going for a second run, as is Sat.1 in Germany.

In all, the format has been licensed into six international markets, including the Netherlands for RTL, Spain for Atresmedia Television and Australia for Seven Network.

André Renaud, senior VP of global format sales at BBC Studios, said: “Putting real-life intelligence to the test, with play-along problem solving, continues to be a winning combination for our international customers and audiences alike. It’s exciting that the format is now coming back in France, Germany and in Israel to Kan 11, to an audience who have been so engaged with the first series.”

Tal Fraifeld, VP of the TV division (Kan 11) at IPBC, said: “We are delighted by the great success of The 1% Club and are excited to continue working with BBC Studios on this format. The 1% Club has captivated our audience, who are very engaged with the genre of intellectual skills and knowledge.”
