Fremantle and Red Arrow Studios alum Harry Gamsu has been tapped as VP of creative for format development and sales at Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP).

Based in L.A., Gamsu will be responsible for relations between WBITVP’s international unit and the Warner Bros. U.S. television production bases Warner Horizon, Telepictures and Shed. He will also be responsible for evaluating formats within the Warner Bros. back catalog for international exploitation and format sales to Canada.

Gamsu previously served as VP of non-scripted content acquisitions at Fremantle and as VP of non-scripted at Red Arrow Studios. The appointment marks a return to Warner Bros. for Gamsu, who originally started his career at Shed Media before moving over to WBITVP to help acquire new formats.

He takes over the role previously held by Adam Steinman, who departed WBITVP earlier this year to take on a new, yet-to-be-announced role.

Andrew Zein, senior VP of creative for format development and sales, to whom Gamsu will report, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Harry back to WBITVP. We have been continually impressed by the shows he has worked on since he was last with us and look forward to seeing his creative talents in action when he returns. We wish Adam the very best in his new role, and we are very excited to have Harry’s experienced eye on board to continue the fantastic work he has done with us.”
