Talpa TV Adds Two New French Formats

Talpa Network’s Fastest Way to Screen project, launched by John de Mol in early 2018, has lined up two French formats to air on the terrestrial Talpa TV channel SBS6 in 2019.

Pitch the Dish is a daily cooking format. The series follows as home cooks are asked to wet the jury’s appetite by first pitching their dish before even cooking it. The format was devised by WeMake in France.

In the weekly reality format Home Alone, children are challenged to live alone in a fixed-rigged house for the duration of a weekend. They will be confronted with adult household tasks, and their parents will be able to observe them from a distance. The format was devised by WeMake/Med&Co in France.

Talpa Global holds worldwide distribution rights for these titles.

WeMake’s Bouchra Rejani said: “I am very excited to see the fruits of our hard work since launching WeMake and am thrilled to be working again with the wonderful team of John. We are very much looking forward to seeing the formats travel to the Netherlands and beyond.”

Talpa Network’s Lisette van Diepen added: “Great new IP can come from any territory and I am very excited to start working with Bouchra, Moe, Mehdi, and the team to see these first international launches of their show. We will be announcing new third-party deals soon.”
