Sky Commissions The 100 Day Split Relationship Series

Sky has commissioned The 100 Day Split, a relationship series that will follow six couples who have been together since they were young and have now reached a crossroads.

Produced by Bright Entertainment, the series will see the couples take on a 100-day challenge in which they live apart, using the separation to focus fully on themselves and reflect honestly on their needs and ambitions. By rediscovering who they are as individuals, they hope to learn how they can grow stronger together.

The 100-day timeframe is rooted in therapeutic approaches used and endorsed by relationship counselors. The timeframe provides enough space for any conflict and tensions to settle, allowing for deeper reflection.

The couples will be guided through the experience by experts.

Casting for the series is now underway, with filming set to begin later this summer. The 100 Day Split will air next year on Sky and NOW.

“We are thrilled to be working with Sky on this landmark new series—a relationship show that we’ve never seen before,” said Lily Wilson, managing director of Bright Entertainment. “We’ll see couples tackle authentic relationship issues that viewers will really relate to and learn a huge amount from as they explore life apart. We can’t wait to bring it to people’s screens next year.”

Shirley Jones, commissioning editor at Sky, added, “I’m delighted to be working with Bright Entertainment on this project. The routines and habits that develop in long-term relationships will feel very familiar to many people, so it’s fascinating to explore what might happen when those patterns are suddenly disrupted. Every time we’ve discussed the show, the question ‘what would you do?’ has sparked lively debate, and everyone seems to approach it differently—which makes it all the more intriguing to see how things unfold.”
