S4C Commissions Challenge Series from Yeti Television

The new design competition series Sêr Steilio (Style Stars), focused on crowning Wales’ best junior stylist, has been commissioned by S4C from Yeti Television.

Presented by Mirain Iwerydd and Iwan Steffan, the series follows as young stylists are tasked with creating a variety of looks for different occasions, from the fashionable to the surreal. There is also set to be a series of self-contained masterclasses so viewers can pick up tips and tricks of the craft.

Sêr Steilio was initially developed in 2020 with the help of development funding from the Young Audiences Content Fund (YACF), managed by the BFI. The series is currently in production.

Sian Price, creative director at Yeti Television, said, “This series is all about celebrating individuality, sustainability and creativity. Our casting has revealed Welsh kids with talent in abundance, and we can’t wait for them to showcase their skills and ideas on screen!”

S4C’s Sioned Geraint added, “I’m delighted that we have been able to commission Sêr Steilio, which we hope will be a launch pad for the Welsh style and design stars of the future.”
