Prime Video has greenlit three new versions of Banijay’s Temptation Island format for Latin America.

Mexico and Brazil will each have an adaptation of the series. The third version will be for Argentina and Chile combined. The series will be produced locally through agreements between Amazon Studios, Banijay Mexico & U.S. Hispanic and Endemol Shine Brasil.

In the series, four loyal couples will embark on a journey to test their commitment to each other. Hosted in two separate villas that are completely isolated from each other, the couples will face unique tests as they interact with a group of attractive singles. Over the course of nine episodes, the couples will navigate a series of challenging situations that explore their desires and make choices that will determine their futures.

“We are thrilled to announce Temptation Island, a series that combines the high emotions of dating reality shows with the fan-favorite pillars like temptations, surprise guests and engaging participants,” said Javiera Balmaceda, head of local originals for Latin America, Canada, Australia & New Zealand at Amazon Studios. “We’re also excited to have such experienced production companies working with us to bring this show together across Latin America that will be shown around the world.”

“We share the enthusiasm as we embark on another exciting collaboration with Prime Video to bring the captivating format of Temptation Island to life,” added Marie Leguizamo, managing director of Banijay Mexico & U.S. Hispanic. “The establishment of a production hub for this show holds immense promise, as it allows us to harness the collective expertise of our talented team and deliver an extraordinary series that resonates with audiences across multiple territories.”
