OSLO: Nordic World has inked deals for several formats across Europe, including one for Aspect Film’s Redesign, which has been sold into France.

French production company Réservoir Prod will produce a local version of Redesign set to broadcast in the country next year. The Shortest Straw is also headed to France, with Coyote optioning the prime-time quiz show.

Meanwhile, Zodiak Media has acquired the Dutch physical game show The Runner Up in a multi-territory deal. Under the agreement, Zodiak has picked up the format for the U.K., Sweden and Denmark, and will have first rights in all other Zodiak/Banijay territories subject to a first license in the optioned territories.

In addition, Bambu Entertainment in Spain has acquired Dining with the Enemy, while reality format Get The Picture has been optioned for Italy and the Swedish format Dictator is set for the Netherlands through a deal with Skyhigh TV.

Paulina Eklund, Nordic World’s VP of sales, said: “The ongoing interest in our catalogue in the wake of MIPCOM is a measure of the strength of our formats, many of which come with impressive creative, commercial and critical track-records. From ‘entertainment with a purpose,’ such as Dining with the Enemy and Dictator, through a physical game show like The Runner Up to a modern classic quiz like The Shortest Straw, Nordic World’s portfolio truly has something to suit every taste, demographic and budget.”
