New French Outpost for WBITVP

PARIS/LONDON: Jean-Louis Blot has been tapped to lead Warner Bros. International Television Production’s (WBITVP) new operation in France.

Formerly with BBC Worldwide Productions France, Blot will be based in Paris. WBITVP France will create, adapt and produce local content for French broadcasters.

Ronald Goes, executive VP and head of WBITVP, to whom Blot reports, noted, “This is an exciting time for Warner Bros. International Television Production, as we begin building our own local television production operations in this key market. Jean-Louis brings with him an exceptional track record of successful television production in France, and an unrivaled passion for creating exciting, innovative content. I am confident he is exactly who we need to drive our ambitious plans for this new part of our business. I am delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Blot said, “I am thrilled to be taking on this role within a company that is synonymous with world-class entertainment, and I look forward to playing my part in building a successful television production business here in France, alongside our existing and future partners, and to creating great content, both new and based on Warner Bros.’ hugely successful existing formats.”

Blot joins WBITVP after eight years at BBC Worldwide Productions France. Before that he was at Air Productions.
