NBC to Adapt Argentine Series for U.S. Market

CANNES: NBC has acquired the rights for Un año para recordar, a series that aired on Telefe in Argentina, with plans to adapt the show in the U.S.

The American version will be called A Year to Remember, which Capital Entertainment and Telefe USA are producing. The adaptation of the script will be led by Michael Foley, who is part of the production team on Shonda Rhimes’ series How to Get Away with Murder.

The story will now be set in the city of Boston and will be focused on a homicide detective who argues with her husband when he finds her with her lover. During the fight, the main character accidentally kills her husband. When she wakes up the next day, she finds out that time has gone back exactly one year, to the day when she meets her future lover and when her husband is still alive.
