On the Sunday of MIPFormats, World Screen’s Anna Carugati will moderate two separate sessions spotlighting buzzy new formats, with a look at 2025 and Million Dollar Mile, while Kristin Brzoznowski hosts a panel on the upsides of live entertainment.

The session 2025: Secrets of a Futuristic Reality Series will take place at 10:55 a.m. in Debussy Theatre. Carugati will sit down with Keshet International’s Revital Basel to discuss the new format 2025, which brings together 12 people in a futuristic city manned by six robots.

At 11:15 a.m., also in Debussy Theatre, the session Million Dollar Mile: Challenging the Physical Formats Genre is part of the MIPFormats Case Study Series. Carugati will be joined by Warner Bros.’ Andrew Zein and Jeff Anderson of Fly on the Wall Entertainment to discuss the new event series, in which contestants have the chance to win $1,000,000 every time they run the Million Dollar Mile.

On the same day, in Auditorium A on Palais 3, Live Hits: The Ultimate Weapon will spotlight the upsides of live entertainment. Cecilie Olsen of ITV Studios Global Entertainment, Matt Risley of MTV and A&E Network’s Elaine Frontain Bryant will share their experience and insights regarding live shows with an “event” touch in a panel session, moderated by Brzoznowski.
