CANCUN/CANNES: Submissions are being accepted for the MIPFormats Pitch Latin America, a competition for creators and producers of non-scripted entertainment formats in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market.

Projects submitted for consideration must be original ideas with the potential to cross borders. The concepts should target Latin American and U.S. Hispanic audiences. Submissions must fit into one of the following non-scripted categories: entertainment, factual entertainment, game show or studio entertainment. The projects must also have the potential for multiplatform brand extension.

The call for entries closes September 23. Finalists will be announced at the end of October.

The winner will have the opportunity to pitch his or her concept to key decision-makers in the Latin American and the U.S. Hispanic markets during a pitching session at MIPCancun on November 18. The concept will be shared onstage and via MIPCancun communication and marketing tools such as the Summit program, social media networks and MIPCancun website. One free admittance to MIPTV and MIPFormats 2017 is also part of the prize.
