Redseven Entertainment, the German production division of Red Arrow Studios, is set to produce the first-ever live wedding for the Married at First Sight franchise.

The new season of the German adaptation of the format will follow 12 singles across eight episodes. Psychoanalyst Dr. Sandra Köhldorfer, couple and sex therapist Beate Quinn and psychologist Markus Ernst will match the couples and support them throughout the series. The live wedding will be featured in an event special kicking off the seventh season of Married at First Sight Germany, airing November 4 on SAT.1.

Married at First Sight is a format created by Red Arrow’s Snowman Productions, and is distributed by Red Arrow Studios International. The show is in production in over 29 countries including the U.S., U.K., Australia and Denmark.

Jobst Benthues, CEO of Redseven Entertainment, said: “Live TV is always exciting, but filming two strangers who are meeting and then getting married live on air takes the excitement to a whole new level! I am delighted that we are producing this live special for SAT.1 and hope it becomes a must-see event in Germany.”
