Guess My Age Scores First LatAm Development Deals

The Vivendi Entertainment format Guess My Age has been optioned in Chile and Argentina by Turner Latin America and in Mexico by Endemol Shine Boomdog.

Turner Latin America will be working on the two local adaptations. In Chile, the company will focus on creating a daily version for the free-to-air network Chilevisión, owned and operated by Turner Latin America.

Additionally, Canal 10 in Uruguay licensed episodes from the Spanish version with the plan to launch a local series.

Guess My Age was also renewed in a number of countries, including in Italy, where TV8 (Sky) has extended the daily series up to the end of the spring season, taking the number of episodes to 354. In Spain, Cuatro (Mediaset) has extended the season-one run until the end of June. In Hungary, TV2 has started production on a third season.

Warner Bros. International Television Portugal has optioned the show. Poland’s Rochstar renewed its option and is expecting a decision from a major local broadcaster soon. Also, Latvian and Estonian networks from All Media have acquired the Russian version of the format.

Matthieu Porte, executive VP in charge at Vivendi Entertainment, said: “The format’s huge and continued success as a daily in Spain on Cuatro has generated strong interest from Central and Latin America. We are looking forward to seeing the first local versions.”
