GMA Worldwide Sells Filipino Drama Formats into Mexico

CANNES: GMA Worldwide has licensed a pair of scripted formats to the Mexican production company Altavision Producciones.

The Other Mrs. Real and My Destiny, both of which aired on GMA Network in the Philippines, have been picked up for local adaptations in Mexico. This follows on a previous deal earlier this year between GMA Worldwide and Telefilm Atlantico for the The Little Heiress‘ format rights.

“All the popular telenovelas that aired in the Philippines were produced in Mexico,” explains Roxanne J. Barcelona, the VP of GMA Worldwide. “It makes us proud knowing that viewers in that part of the world will finally get to watch some of our very own productions.”
