First Dates Returning for 22nd Season

Channel 4 has slated the premiere of First Dates’ 22nd season, produced by Twenty Twenty Productions, for August 6.

Maître d’ Fred Sirieix, bartender Merlin Griffiths and waitress Cici Coleman will be back to help singletons match up at The Botanist bar and restaurant in Bath. Restaurant staff introduced in the previous season, including Aoife Smyth, Kofi Yeboah-Mensah, Francesca Martusciello and Jamie McCleave, will return as well.

The series first aired in 2013 and has since received various awards and nominations. It has been adapted in over 20 territories around the world. It has also led to a spin-off, First Dates Hotel, which sees daters travel to luxurious hotels in France and Italy.
