Banijay has inked two new European deals for the culinary format Family Food Fight.

Banijay’s Meter Television is prepping a local treatment for SVT in Sweden, while Endemol Shine Poland is working on the Polsat TV version. Both local series are set to air later this year.

The format was first created by Endemol Shine Australia and has now been adapted in 11 markets, with remakes across Europe, as well as Brazil and the U.S.

Lucas Green, global head of content operations at Banijay, said: “Cooking competitions are proven ratings hits and Family Food Fight bridges the gap between high-end cuisine and comfort food. The focus of this format is about accessible cooking, inspiring the audience to try some new recipes at a time when eating out is not always possible.”
