Endemol Shine Germany & Judith Rakers Create JV for Formats

Endemol Shine Germany has aligned with the popular German journalist and TV presenter Judith Rakers in a joint venture that will produce and develop fresh formats.

Called Jukers Media, the company will focus on doc series, talk shows and game shows. Rakers serves as managing director of the new JV, alongside Matthias Pfeffer. Pfeffer is also the MD of META Productions, which will be working closely with Jukers Media.

Rakers commented: “I’ve known Matthias Pfeffer personally for many years and have now found a strong partner with him and Endemol Shine to develop new formats that fit me perfectly. Jukers Media gives me the opportunity to be creative and at the same time to be entrepreneurial.”

Pfeffer said: “For 20 years, I have known Judith Rakers as a courageous and committed journalist. She is not only one of the most popular news faces in Germany, but also a…top host of talk-show formats and events. In the coming years, we want to develop and produce both high-quality journalistic and entertaining formats with Judith. I am really looking forward to this.”
