LOS ANGELES: Electus International has teamed up with CBS Television Studios and RCTV to sell and license the Jane the Virgin format around the world, starting with Turkey's Kanal D.

Electus International brought the show to market earlier this year, and will oversee all format sales outside of LatAm, which will be managed by RCTV. The first agreement is a straight-to-series order for Kanal D. The show, produced by Medyapim, was ordered for a minimum of 22 episodes.

Jane the Virgin is produced by CBS Television Studio and distributed internationally by CBS Studios International. The show, which stars Gina Rodriguez, airs on The CW in the U.S. It is based on Venezuela's RCTV telenovela Juana la Virgen.

"We are incredibly excited to be working with two great partners in CBS and RCTV to sell the format to the groundbreaking and critically acclaimed Jane the Virgin," said John Pollak, the president of Electus International. "The team behind JaneJennie Snyder Urman, Ben Silverman, Jorge Granier, Gary Pearl and CBS Television Studios—have an incredible track record of success and we are confident that other countries will see the same tremendous ratings as we have had here in the U.S."
