DRG Picks Up Small Fortune Format

DRG has added to its catalog the prime-time format Small Fortune from youngest media.

youngest media will distribute the format in Germany, France, Australia and North America, with DRG representing the format in the rest of the world. Billed as the world’s smallest physical game show, the format sees teams of friends and family members compete in tiny games set in perfectly miniaturized worlds in order to win big money.

The show has been commissioned by ITV in the U.K. to launch in 2019 with Dermot O’Leary (The X Factor) as its host.

Richard Halliwell, CEO of DRG, commented: “David and Lucas have developed an exciting business, bursting with big ideas, and are constantly injecting creative new thinking into our world. Small Fortune is a truly original idea and a fantastic format for prime-time family slots, packed with jeopardy, big money prizes and the most incredible visuals. We are delighted that Small Fortune is joining our growing catalog of successful international formats and we are confident that this impressive gameshow featuring tiny worlds will receive a very big welcome from buyers in Cannes.”

David Flynn, co-founder of youngest media, added: “Physical game shows have been getting bigger and bigger, but we’ve gone small to create a show that looks like nothing else out there. Small Fortune delivers big jeopardy and huge emotion but with a scale that can work in any territory and for any time slot. We can’t wait to work with DRG to make Small Fortune a big global hit.”
