Armoza Formats has secured a deal for the prime-time dance competition Dance Revolution with Globomedia in Spain.

The series, from Québecor Content and Fair-Play, originally aired on Canada’s TVA, which has greenlit a second season. The format is getting a Spanish adaptation now with Globomedia. The format was also recently picked up in France by Reservoir Prod.

Javier Pons, managing director at Globomedia, said: “We are very excited to develop Dance Revolution in Spain, a format that is competition in its purest form. The 360-degree recording requires participants to perform at the highest level and risk everything with every step they take so that they can provide the perfect moment to be captured. This innovative technology is what makes this format one of the greatest television shows for the whole family.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, added: “Dance Revolution has revolutionized dance competitions with its state-of-the-art technology that captures the most breathtaking moves of each dancer. We believe that Globomedia is the perfect partner with whom to bring Spanish audiences this innovative spin on a beloved genre.”
