Couple Palace Gets Second Season

CJ ENM’s couple-matching survival show Couple Palace has been commissioned for a second season.

Couple Palace premiered on CJ ENM’s affiliate music channel Mnet in January 2024. It was developed by Lee Sun-young and Jeong Min-seok, known for I Can See Your Voice and Love Catcher, respectively.

The format sees 100 singles gather in a place called “Couple Palace” to seek out their lifetime partners, eventually aiming to get married. The show stars 50 men and 50 women from various backgrounds who unveil their detailed social status to search for ideal partners based on elements such as ideal marriage values, physical appearance, economic status and lifestyle.

“While I Can See Your Voice was all about discovering hidden figures who are passionate for music, Couple Palace conveys stories of 100 people aiming to get married in a unique setting that combines survival and dating schemes,” said Sung-young.

Sebastian Kim, the director of CJ ENM’s international content sales, stated, “The sequel commission of Couple Palace clearly demonstrates the fact that the show’s candid, yet profound portrayal of relationship dynamics associated with marriage has resonated with audiences from different circumstances and environments. We sincerely believe the show can further entice global fans’ interests once it is localized in multiple regions.”
