Channel 5 Orders Naked Entertainment’s Stripped and Stranded

LONDON: Channel 5 has commissioned the factual-entertainment format Stripped and Stranded from Naked Entertainment.

Each episode of Stripped and Stranded follows a different family that is currently feuding. The family members are marooned on a desert island with nothing but each other for support. In order to survive, they have to put aside their strife and work as a team, but can they do it? The four-part series is being filmed on a tropical island off the coast of Panama and is slated to air in the U.K. this fall. The show was commissioned by Guy Davies, the factual commissioner for Channel 5.

Simon Andreae, the CEO of Naked Entertainment and executive producer on the series alongside Mike Warner, said, “Stripped and Stranded is a prime example of what we want to be known for: bold, original programming that is simple to grasp but also broad, relatable, and emotionally resonant. Everyone knows how delicate and complex families can be, but it’s not often you get the chance to see what happens when a family who claim they can’t live with each other suddenly discovers they can’t survive without each other.”

Davies added: “This compelling, emotional and entertaining new series underlines the ambition of our factual programming. We’re tackling an age-old problem through a unique new format to see if it’s possible to put an end to family strife.”
