Capturing the Moment Optioned in France & Spain

TEL AVIV: Gil Formats has secured two option deals for its factual-entertainment format Capturing the Moment with production companies in France and Spain.

Capturing the Moment was picked up by Satisfaction in France and an as-yet-unnamed Spanish production outfit. The two deals come on the heels of the format’s recent commission by Alpha TV in Greece.

The format sees elderly individuals share their experiences and knowledge about universally relevant topics such as family, careers, love and sex. Each episode features personal stories captured in a photo that are recreated by a top photographer, sometimes 50 years after the original picture was taken.

The German version aired last September on ZDFneo. An Israeli version of the format is currently in production and is slated to air this coming spring on IBA (Israel Broadcasting Authority).
