Beyond Scores New Sales for Love It or List It

LONDON/TORONTO: Beyond Distribution has licensed all six seasons produced to date of Big Coat Productions’s Love It or List It to Discovery Networks Denmark, while also inking a number of format deals for the home-design show.

Channel 4 in the U.K. is producing a sophomore season of Love It or List It UK, which stars Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer, and format rights have been optioned by Fremantle Belgium, Elk Productions Sweden and Mastiff Entertainment Norway. In addition, Asia’s Scripps Networks Interactive, Foxtel Australia and Spain’s Mediaset have picked up the show’s sixth season.

Love It or List It looks on as interior designers and real estate agents help homeowners decide if they should remodel or sell their houses.

“As our hit TV show continues to explode in popularity, it also highlights the strength of the Love It or List It franchise, currently one of the strongest Canadian TV formats selling worldwide,” said co-executive producer Maria Armstrong.

“If broadcasters are looking towards factual entertainment formats which explore a slice of life for entertainment, real estate and design know-how, then Love It or List It perfectly fits the bill,” noted co-executive producer Catherine Fogarty. “Furthermore, the concept works all over the world and is a proven ratings hit.”
