Video Interview with NBC Entertainment’s Paul Telegdy & Meredith Ahr

Paul Telegdy, the president of the alternative and reality group at NBC Entertainment, and Meredith Ahr, the president of Universal Television Alternative Studio, sat down with TV Formats’ Mansha Daswani to discuss the evolution of the studio and the value of live entertainment in today’s crowded TV landscape.

As the president of the alternative and reality group at NBC Entertainment, Paul Telegdy has been overseeing such major franchises as The Voice, America’s Got Talent, American Ninja Warrior and the recent breakout World of Dance on the U.S. broadcast network. The Jennifer Lopez-led World of Dance is one of the latest projects from Universal Television Alternative Studio, which was launched last summer as an initiative that supplies shows to NBC as well as other broadcast and cable networks. Led by Meredith Ahr as president, the studio’s roster also boasts The Wall, currently airing in its second season on NBC, and Better Late Than Never, also coming back for a sophomore run.
