Banijay Studios North America Takes Double or Nothing for U.S.

TEL AVIV: Banijay Studios North America has acquired Armoza Formats’s studio-based challenge game show Double or Nothing, developed in partnership with Studio Glam, for the U.S.

The agreement marks the first time Armoza Formats and Banijay Studios North America have partnered on a format. The hour-long Double or Nothing follows a pair of contestants as they participate in a range of challenges to see if the two of them can work together to complete the task better than their single opponent. The couple must complete the challenge twice as well in order to double their stake money. If they don’t, they’ll lose the cash.

Double or Nothing has also been acquired by Banijay Group in Italy and France, where it will be produced by Ambra and H2O Productions, respectively. It has also been picked up by Tresor TV Produktions in Germany.

Armoza Formats CEO Avi Armoza stated: “Double or Nothing is a fun and engaging show that answers to the market need for mission-based formats and new studio entertainment shows. We are thrilled to be partnering with Banijay Studios N.A. to develop this exciting concept for the U.S. market.”
