Banijay Establishes AI Creative Fund

Banijay has set up a new fund to power the creation of formats that utilize AI, either as a core tenet of the show’s idea or as part of innovating the production process.

“We’re extremely passionate about innovation, and this latest AI Creative Fund will empower our producers across the footprint to create new formats that embrace tech, whether that be central to the show or redefining the production process,” said James Townley, chief content officer for development at Banijay. “We’re in a new era of technology and innovation, and while human creativity will always prevail, it’s important to work alongside the tools available to contribute to the future of groundbreaking entertainment.”

The AI Creative Fund will ballowproducers and labels across Banijay’s 21 territories to showcase ideas centered on technology and innovation. Successful ideas will receive development funding via Banijay’s Creative Fund, which supported the creation of hits like Blow Up (Endemol Shine Nederland), Love Triangle (Endemol Shine Australia), The 50 (Banijay Productions France), Save the Date (Endemol Shine Finland and and Endemol Shine Israel) and Starstruck (Remarkable).
