Samsung TV Plus to Air American Idol in the U.K.

Fremantle is partnering with Samsung to bring American Idol to audiences in the U.K.

Starting next month, U.K. viewers will be able to watch the new season of American Idol exclusively on-demand on the free-to-watch Samsung TV Plus platform.

American Idol’s fifth season on ABC and 20th season overall will be available on Samsung TVs, mobile phones and tablets through Samsung TV Plus for free. American Idol will be available to watch on March 2 on-demand on Samsung TV Plus. Later, the show will be incorporated into Samsung’s Entertainment Channel, which will be dedicated to family entertainment. New episodes will arrive every week from March 10 through to the final on May 22.
