Sew Fierce Gets Second Season

The LGBTQ+ television and streaming service OUTtv has commissioned a second season of its competition series Sew Fierce.

The eight-episode second season sees design mentor Jaime Lujan, aka Lucinda Miu, return to the show, joined by a new co-host, the London-based drag artist Crystal. Showcasing the craft of drag, Sew Fierce sees eight drag designers at the top of their field compete in weekly challenges to create new looks in the hopes of winning a cash prize and a sewing suite from SINGER.

The first season of the OUTtv original launched internationally on the platform earlier this year. Season two started production this month and is set to premiere in Spring 2024.

Philip Webb, COO of OUTtv, said: “Sew Fierce celebrates the incredible creativity of drag designers whilst entertaining and educating audiences with the intricacies of the art form and showcasing the remarkable personal journeys the contestants have taken so far. We were delighted by the reception of the first season, and for season two, we can’t wait to welcome Crystal, who we know will bring her unique flair and a fresh perspective to our eight new contestants.”

Crystal added: “I’m so excited to be joining the team at Sew Fierce as host of season two. Beyond my status as an international drag artist, I’m also an avid costume maker and highly judgemental, so this series was made for me! I cannot wait to see what these talented designers have in their talented brains!”
