The new culinary travel format Eat Like a Local, helmed by Andrew Zimmern, has launched at MIPCOM.

Co-produced by Singapore-based Hazelnut Media and Emmy Award-winning production company Intuitive Content, the ten-parter explores food and culture around the world. The series is set to premiere in 2025.

Zimmern shared, “This is an entirely new IP, and it’s exciting to take such a deep dive into the heart and soul of food in different cities. Each dish tells a story, and this show is about uncovering the people behind those stories.”

Patrick Weiland, president of Intuitive Content, added, “Eat Like a Local is an endlessly repeatable format with huge global potential, as food is the universal language that connects us all. We’re thrilled to bring this concept to life.”

Co-producers Isabella-Sreyashii Sen and Olivier Dock, co-CEOs of Hazelnut Media, added: “We’re truly delighted to co-produce this extraordinary show with Andrew Zimmern. Having a team that truly understands the importance of storytelling through food, we’re excited to start this journey in Singapore, tracing the spice route through its people and their culinary traditions.”
