Celebrity Race Across the World Returning for Season Two

BBC Factual has ordered a second season of Studio Lambert’s Celebrity Race Across the World for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

The first season featured a roster of well-known faces, including McFly drummer Harry Judd and his mom; British racing driver and pundit Billy Monger and his sister; singer-songwriter Mel Blatt and her mom; and broadcaster Alex Beresford and his dad. They all left behind their lives of luxury to race from Africa to the Arctic.

The series provides viewers a unique insight into the lives of the celebrities and their relationships with those closest to them. Without the use of smartphones or credit cards, the contestants must learn how to travel smart and on a limited budget.

Celebrity Race Across the World is the BBC’s biggest factual-entertainment brand of the year to date, with the first episode averaging 6.2 million viewers.
