Netflix Sets New Arabic Original

Netflix has lined up its latest Arabic original, Dollar, set in modern-day Lebanon.

Adel Karam and Amel Bouchoucha star in the drama, which is directed by Samer Berkawi (Al Hayba, Half Day). In the series, advertising mastermind Tarek (Karam) is tasked with coming up with a million-dollar idea for the launch of a new bank. Something’s off, and the bank’s hard-hitting young CFO, Zeina (Bouchoucha), can sense it.

Dollar will begin streaming on Netflix from August 8, subtitled in 20 languages to 148 million members in over 190 countries.
