Kanal 7 Renews Long-Running Turkish Drama Series

Kanal 7 has ordered new seasons of two long-running series, both distributed by Eccho Rights, including Legacy.

Produced by Karamel Yapim, the daily series sees an innocent little boy’s future at the heart of a bitter struggle between two families. It has been renewed for a third season.

Eccho Rights has sold Legacy to more than 30 territories, including Spain, Israel, throughout Eastern Europe and ten countries in South and Central America.

The Promise has been renewed as well, for a fifth season. Also produced by Karamel Yapim, the drama follows Reyhan and Emir, whose lives intersect with a promise that brings them together in the most unexpected way.

Eccho Rights has licensed The Promise to more than 40 territories since its launch in 2019, including India and the U.S.

“These two series continue to be among the most in-demand with buyers and audiences all around the world,” said Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights. “They provide long-term, secure value to broadcasters as well as daily nerve-shredding romantic tension for their viewers.”
