Charlie Hunnam to Star in Next Monster Anthology

Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) is set to star as murderer Ed Gein in the next installment of Ryan Murphy’s Monster anthology for Netflix.

The new Ed Gein series, scheduled to begin production in October, is part of the two-installment Monster order Netflix made after the record-breaking success of DAHMER—Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. The other installment from the order, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, is slated to bow on September 19.

After DAHMER—Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story premiered in 2022, it reached 1 billion view hours in its first 60 days, making it one of only four series to achieve this milestone. It is the third most-popular Netflix English-language series.

The Monster anthology comes from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan.
