All Creatures Great and Small Unveils Season Four Cast

Channel 5, PBS’s MASTERPIECE and Playground have revealed the new and returning cast members for season four of All Creatures Great and Small.

Neve McIntosh (Shetland) and James Anthony-Rose (Slow Horses, Pennyworth) join the cast as a bookkeeper and an undergraduate vet student, respectively. Callum Woodhouse will not be returning, but Nicholas Ralph, Rachel Shenton, Samuel West, Anna Madeley and Patricia Hodge will.

The fourth season will feature six new episodes and a Christmas special. It set to air on Channel 5 this autumn. In the U.S., it will air on MASTERPIECE on PBS early in 2024. All3Media International represents the series internationally.

Executive producer Ben Vanstone (A Gentleman in Moscow, The Last Kingdom) returns for season four and is writing the Christmas special. Writer Jamie Crichton (Three Pines, Grantchester) also returns, this time as lead writer and executive producer. Joining them for the new season are writers Maxine Alderton (Emmerdale Farm, Doctor Who) and Helen Raynor (A Discovery of Witches, Call the Midwife).

Andy Hay (The Last Kingdom, Jamestown) is lead director and will direct episodes one and two, while Stewart Svaasand (Tin Star, Death in Paradise) will direct episodes three, four and six and BAFTA winner Jordan Hogg (Ralph and Katie, Screw) will direct episode five and the Christmas special.
