TV Azteca Releases Second Quarter Results

MEXICO CITY, July 23:
Revenues at the Mexican media group TV Azteca rose 6 percent in the second
quarter to Ps.2.4 billion ($244.4 million), delivering a net income of Ps.323
million ($32.3 million), reflecting a 44-percent increase.

"During the quarter
we offered superior advertising plans to satisfy the continuous demand of our
advertisers in all of our time slots, which translated into robust sales
growth," commented Mario San Roman, the CEO of TV Azteca. "The increase further strengthened our
market positioning and was key in the solid EBITDA and net income growth."

While TV Azteca reported
an increase in revenues from barter sales, intake from Azteca America and
programming sales were down.
