TV Azteca Records Revenue, EBITDA Growth

MEXICO CITY, February 14:
TV Azteca has released its fourth-quarter results, with 7-percent growth in
revenues to Ps. 2.9 billion ($269.7 million) and an 11-percent increase in
EBITDA for an all-time high of Ps. 1.5 billion ($141.1 million).

"Sales this quarter
represented a record high in the context of a strong demand for advertising
within our content and an outstanding share of the commercial audience,"
said Mario San Roman, the CEO of TV Azteca. "The top-line dynamism,
combined with expense reductions and cost controls, translated into robust
EBITDA expansion, to an all-time high quarterly level."

The company recorded net
majority income of Ps. 186 million, a 74-percent fall from the year-ago period.
This was due to in part to a Ps. 548-million increase in the provision for
income tax.

Fourth-quarter revenue
includes net sales from Azteca America, the U.S. Hispanic outlet, of Ps. 132
million, reflecting an 8-percent gain. Revenues from programming sales
increased 13 percent to Ps. 26 million.
