LONDON: Turner International is forging a joint approach with Turner's U.S. operation around its kids' and general entertainment businesses as the company looks to take a more global path to content strategy.

Hannes Heyelmann, the senior VP and managing director for CEE, is now also responsible for international original programming strategy, and will represent Turner International as its liaison executive with the general entertainment production teams in the U.S. Patricia Hidalgo, the senior VP and chief content and creative officer for kids in EMEA, is now also overseeing international kids' strategy, providing a liaison role with the kids' production teams in the U.S.

Both execs, whose new positions are effective immediately, will work with Gerhard Zeiler, the president of Turner International, on their added duties. They will continue to report to Giorgio Stock, the president of Turner EMEA, for their ongoing EMEA responsibilities. The new roles will also see close collaboration with CFO International Aksel van der Wal's team on operational aspects of the kids' and general entertainment originals production slate.

"Together with our colleagues in the U.S. we view kids' and entertainment programming as an important global business which needs a joint approach, and we have found that the international perspective is very much welcomed," said Zeiler.
