Turkish Deals for BVITV

LONDON, June 26: Turkish pubcaster TRT has picked up a slate
of animated and live-action features as well as Disney-branded kids’ fare in a
multiyear package deal with Buena Vista International Television (BVITV).

Among the features in the deal are Pixar productions like Toy
Story, and Finding Nemo and Disney titles such as Pocahontas,
Brother Bear, Mary Poppins, Dumbo
and Alice in Wonderland. Live
action features include High Fidelity and The Three Musketeers,
among others. The agreement also covers kids’ properties, with TRT taking Disney’s
American Dragon: Jake Long, Disney’s
Recess and Disney’s Aladdin, The
Series. TRT is also set to present the
Turkish premieres of the new Playhouse Disney productions Mickey Mouse
Clubhouse and Little Einsteins.
