Tr3s Slates New Content, Returning Hits

MIAMI: Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más has announced an expanded slate of content, with a number of new shows coming alongside the return of several hit series, as the network wraps up the first quarter of 2011 with its highest performance in the history of the brand.

“Last year, we successfully introduced an evolved brand and tapped into the full spectrum of our 12-34 audience with a broader content offering,” said Jose Tillan, the general manager and executive VP of Tr3s. “This year, we feel very confident about the Upfront season and are very excited to once again introduce new and bold content that continues to resonate with this exciting bilingual/bicultural market, as well with our clients.”

The network’s number one original franchise, Quiero Mis Quinces and Quiero Mi Boda, is expanding to spotlight another Latino milestone, parenting, with Quiero Mi Baby. Other new series include Popland, charting one girl’s journey from a humble small town to the star-studded big city. Date My Abuela (working title) watches as a grandmother is set up for a romantic evening organized by her grandchildren. La Escalera documents the life of today’s Latin superstars.

On the roster of returning series are George Lopez, starring the eponymous comedian; Unplugged, featuring an acoustic showcase of today’s top Latin artists; and Lo Que Te Pica, bringing a daily dose of news and gossip. Bellator shows viewers the world of Mixed Martial Arts, while TNA Impact! delves into professional wrestling.

Tr3s also has new digital content. OurStage.com is a destination for listening to music, as well as reading complementary editorial. Tr3s will partner the site with emerging artists, music lovers and industry professions from the Latin world for an opportunity to discover the next great musician. Night Finder helps answer the question, "Where should we meet tonight?" The mobile app will provide info on the hottest spots in your city that fit your social style and attitude. Blogger Network features real-time posts from bloggers and sites in the industry, bringing a range of news on entertainment, pop culture, fashion, music, celebrities and more.
